Lazy afternoon jog/walk

A break from the rain today, so thought I’d do an easy workout…’cept there were a couple hills…oh, well.  Drove a few miles west of my house to explore some new territory.  Took some photos of some of the awesome clouds, some cute houses I found, etc.  Finally, had to turn around and leave this one neighborhood unfinished.  Such beautiful homes and huge, elegantly landscaped yards!  Later I may post photos of my explorations, as I’ve decided to find a new area to run every week. :)

Hey there!
Cool idea about running a new area every week! Very creative!!

Your question about ART… = Active Release Techniques.. it is sort of like massage..on steroids. It’s focused and includes the practitioner moving your body around while they are sticking hot pokers in your muscles and ligaments. Okay…not really hot pokers. But sometimes it feels like it. However.. it’s a GOOD pain… and it’s the only thing that has opened my hips up and made much of my bad pain go away. The person I go to is in Edmonds: Annie Armstrong. She’s a chiropractor with the BEST philosophy I’ve ever seen. She’s not into the ‘you-must-come-for-an-adjustment-every-week-for-the-rest-of-your-life” thing. If you’re not getting better, it’s because your muscles and ligaments are not healthy around the bone… So she goes to town on these. And she said, if we’re not seeing progress in 4-6 treatments, it’s not going to work. Zowie! I’ve never had a provider be that certain before. I also have never had a chiro “adjustment” from her, only ART. Apparently there are only 9 or 10 ART providers in the Seattle area… I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Hope this helps answer your questions!
