AAAH! First Triathon TOMORROW!

Lake Padden tri: (taken June 4 when I went up to practice)

Am I crazy or what? Why did I think this old lady (me) could do a tri? (Even though it’s just an itty-bitty sprint.) My aches and pains are back, and so today was my second rest day in a row. When I think of getting my stuff ready for tomorrow, I feel like I’m getting ready for my funeral (almost), not for something fun. Hopefully, things will go OK, though, and tomorrow will be slightly more fun than a funeral.

If I survive, I’ll be back tomorrow or Sunday with a report.

Thanks for everyone’s encourging words! It was great!

  3. It will be more fun than you think. Just set little goals for each portion of the Tri and really enjoy each. This is something you choose…no one is making you do it. Remember when it hurts “I choose this activity b/c it makes me stronger” and when it s fun, “I choose this activity b/c I feel alive!” You have no one to compete with out there but yourself. Do it to finish and be able to say you did it! You will be amazed at yourself!
